Was Christmas season. Mrs. Stillman was alone. Recently widowed, she was alone. Mrs. Ora suggests to her husband to help her by giving him a surprise. Andy, Louie's father, initially refuses. What did he do after that?
Mr. Applegate fired Andy. Louie's Dad lied his family that he had actually resigned. No longer going to his job, he repairs around the house all day. Ora gets a job selling cosmetics to her neighbors. See how Louie helped his father.
3 Raindrops Keep Falling on My Bed
Spring has come to Cedar Knoll. Andy prepared a welcome barbecue in his backyard his new neighbors. While he fights with Mr. Jensen about their property lines, a rain storm appears and floods the town.
4 Lake Winnibigoshish
The annual Anderson family vacation. Louie meets with Kelly Basset and Lanza Triplets. While fishing on the lake, Andy will catch a gigantic fish and makes a historic fireworks with which he entered local Hall of Fame.
5 A Fish Called Pepper
Jeannie Harper moves to Detroit because her father is given a new job. Louie's grandma Henrietta Sherman, comes to visit. Meanwhile, the Andersons get a pet fish. They can't afford a dog, loses its hair, or a cat, licks the butter.
6 Behind Every Good Coach
Louie joins the baseball team but during their first game, the coach gets hurt and Andy becomes the new coach. With the team unable to win, Ora gives the team a few pointers and they win their playoff game.
7 Alive! Miracle in Cedar Knoll Wisconsin
Andy and Ora leave Cedar Knoll Wisconsin to visit Grandma who made flu. Louie and Tommy are left alone at the house as a blizzard hits and causes a blackout in town.
8 Pains Grains and Allergy Shots
Ora wants a new refrigerator. Louie's head and hands were swelling. Dr. Weatherfield discovers an allergy that will be treated with shots. His father himself gives him an example. Little Louie proves brave.
9 The Fourth Thursday in November Thanksgiving
After failing as the turkey, Louie must deliver an oral report to the entire student body on the meaning of Thanksgiving. All of the Anderson family comes to Louie's house for Thanksgiving dinner.
10 Tracks of My Deers
In Wisconsin, with Louie, Andy goes to a deer hunting with his friends. Louie meets a lonely deer and decides to keep it until the hunt season finishes.
11 When Cedar Knoll Freezes Over
The winter carnival begins in Cedar Knoll and The Anderson family loses every competition they enter. Louie develops a crush on Jeannie's sister and tries to learn how to skate to get close to her.
12 A Fair to Remember
The Anderson family goes to the state fair. Ora competes in a cooking contest against Sally Tubbs. Andy wrestles a greased pig and Tommy is upset because Louie only takes him on the kiddie rides.
13 Born a Rambler Man
For her husband's birthday, Ora decides to buy him a new car. After Andy complains and returns the car, Louie fixes the Rambler with the help of a repair man named Smitty.

Louie Anderson himself was actually from Saint Paul, Minnesota, also situated in midwestern U.S.
Life with Louie series won two Emmy Awards. It also won the Humanitas Prize three times, which is more than for any other animated series.
Season 1 episodes used a live-action intro by Louie Anderson talking to the audience about his childhood, then dissolving into the show.
Review
This series contain emotional moments. Life with Louie was one of the best Saturday morning shows ever. I recommend it to everyone who wants to see an American child's entertaining adventures.
