After Thanksgiving the Christmas season had begun. A neighbor of the Anderson family was Mrs. Stillman. Recently widowed, she was alone. Mrs. Ora suggests to her husband to help her by giving him a surprise. Andy, Louie's father, initially refuses. But then, with the help of Louie and his friends, he decorates Mrs. Stillman's house with Christmas lights. To everyone's delight.
Dialogues with pictures
ORA: Your dad is telling you not this weekend but next.
ANDY: What? We're not putting up lights this year. We're conserving energy.
LOUIE: Who is yours?
ANDY: Too early for this garbage Christmas show. Disguises a fishing show. I know what there's a sound on the boat. LOUIE: That's a Christmas spirit. ANDY: I heard that!
LOUIE ANDERSON [narrating]: Winter arrived early in Cedar Knoll Wisconsin. By Christmas time we always had a ton of snow.
LOUIE: We won't run no school today!
TOMMY: No school!
LOUIE: What are you so excited about. You can't even go to school. LOUIE: I think seeing really touched my dad's heart.
LOUIE: Christmas morning was special too. My dad would announce the price of each gift. LOUIE: Here Dad! Open mine. ANDY: Apparently... thank you very much!
